Build Sustainable Work that Fits
Your Capacity
Supported self-employment for disabled, chronically ill, and neurodivergent humans navigating work, business, and important decisions.
Creating work that fits your life can be exciting, meaningful, and empowering.
It can also be overwhelming.
Many of the humans I support already have ideas, goals, skills, and expertise. They may know the logical next step they need to take, but still find themselves feeling stuck.
Sometimes the challenge isn't knowing what to do.
Sometimes the challenge is navigating uncertainty, executive dysfunction, confidence, visibility, competing priorities, fluctuating capacity, or the consequences that can come with important decisions.
This service, facilitated by Ashleigh Rae (that’s me over there on the right, looking fancy in the orange dress), provides a safe, non-judgemental space to explore those challenges, build confidence, and identify practical next steps that align with your goals, values and, importantly, your capacity.
What We Might Rumble With Together
Every human is a little different.
Some of the topics we commonly explore include:
Starting a business or side venture
Creating or improving a website
Understanding personal branding
Becoming more visible online
Social media and content creation
Marketing and communication
Raising prices
Hiring support
Managing growth sustainably
Balancing work and wellbeing
Navigating uncertainty and change
Often, these conversations are about much more than the practical task itself.
👉 A website may be connected to confidence.
👉 Marketing may be connected to visibility.
👉 Hiring support may be connected to trust.
👉 Raising prices may be connected to sustainability and preventing burnout.
Together, we create space to explore the practical and personal factors that influence important decisions.

What is Supported Self-Employment?
Supported self-employment is about helping disabled, chronically ill and neurodivergent humans navigate the barriers that can make participating in self-employment, microbusiness, sole trading, or sustainable work ✨difficult✨ (to say the least).
Together, we can explore:
Self-employment ideas and opportunities
Work-related goals
Capacity-aware planning
Executive functioning challenges
Confidence and self-belief
Communication and visibility
Decision-making and problem-solving
Sustainable work practices
Managing overwhelm
Identifying barriers and possible solutions
Understanding options and next steps
The goal is not to tell you what to do.
The goal is to support you in exploring possibilities, making informed decisions, and creating work that fits your life and capacity, not the capacity you wish you have, or what hustle culture says you should have.
Because nothing will throw you unexpected curveballs like being self-employed, and we all need a place to safely unpack them.
A Different Kind of Support
Many people come to sessions expecting that they need more information; if they just acquired a crucial piece of knowledge, they could easily move forward…
But… they often already know more than they realise.
What they need is space to think, explore, ask questions, and understand the implications of different options (and yeah, sometimes a bit of practical support and knowledge too).
This service combines:
Supported decision-making
Capacity-aware planning
Problem solving
Practical guidance
Exploration and reflection
The result is often greater clarity, increased confidence, and a stronger sense of direction.
Pssst… by the way, that’s just Apple juice in a fancy glass, in case you were wondering…
